Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival In Kathmandu

Transportation: pickup from the airport
Accommodation: 3-star standard hotel
Meal: welcome dinner
We will welcome you to Nepal by being at the airport for your arrival. After all on-arrival works, we will transfer you to your hotel in the city. You will take a rest after a long flight. Later, we will meet again for a welcome dinner and trip orientation. Overnight at Kathmandu’s hotel.

Day 2: Kathmandu Valley Tour

Accommodation: 3-star standard hotel
On this day, we’ll take you for a brief full-day Kathmandu Valley Tour. Kathmandu is a historical city full of temples and heritages. We’ll explore the must-visit sites of Kathmandu, which UNESCO has enlisted as cultural heritage sites. The day tour will happen through Pashupatinath Temple, Bouddhanath Stupa, Basantapur Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, and Swaymbhunath Stupa. You’ll learn about the rich Nepalese culture and architecture by visiting the sites. Overnight back to Kathmandu’s hotel.

Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi(1,500m) | 7 hrs

Transportation: 7 hours drive to Syabrubesi
Accommodation: lodge in Syabrubesi
Max. Altitude: 1500m
Now, we will set off for the Tamang Heritage Trek with a drive out of the valley. It will be a 50km or 7-hour drive to Syabrubesi through a scenic highway. Syabrubesi, the destination, is the starting point of most of the Langtang Region treks. After a picturesque ride and reaching Syabrubesi, we’ll check in at one of the lodges of the place for the night.

Day 4: Trek from Syabrubesi to Gatlang Village(2,238m) | 7 hrs

Following the trail out of Syabrubesi, we’ll trek towards Rongga Bhanjyang. It will be a steep climb to the Bhanjyang’s top through green vegetation. Upon completing the climb, we’ll rest for a while before descending to Goljung Village, one of the Tamang settlements. Next, from Goljung village, our trail will turn steeper, and climbing it, we will reach Gatlang Village, the last point of the day. Overnight in the traditional village.

Day 5: Trek from Gatlang to Tatopani(2,607m) | 7 hrs

Today, we will start the day by joining a descending trail that goes via lush woods. Firstly, we will reach Chilime by walking along some Buddhist Chortens and Mani Walls. A lot of prayer flags will keep us pushing forward. In between Chilime and Gongang Village, we’ll cross some typical suspension bridges and steep uphills. We will have lunch at Gongang Village before we continue the steep track to Tatopani. Tatopani, our stay for the day, is famous for its natural hot spring. We’ll enjoy being in the hot pool. Overnight in Tatopani.

Day 6: Trek from Tatopani to Nagathali(3,165m) | 5hrs

Accommodation: mountain lodge in Nagathali
Meal: breakfast, lunch, dinner

The trail will become more scenic and peaceful as we keep progressing. We’ll leave Tatopani behind in the pursuit of Nagthali. En route, we’ll cross a thick forest of the Langtang Region. Eventually, we’ll reach Nagathali Hill Station to get breathtaking scenes of Langtang, Ganesh Himal, and other peaks. We’ll stop at the place for some time until we get enough of the views. Following, we’ll drop straight to Nagthane Village, a beautiful Tamang hamlet. Overnight in the village.

Day 7: Explore Rasuwagadhi and Back to Timure

Accommodation: guesthouse in Timure
Meal: breakfast, lunch, dinner
On our seventh day of the Tamang Heritage Trek, we’ll explore a historically significant place, Rasuwagadhi. So right after our breakfast in Nagathali, we’ll hike in the north direction towards the Tibetan Border. Rasuwagadi is a fort that lies quite near the border of Nepal and Tibet. While we approach the fort, we’ll also walk on the ancient trade route of Nepal-India. Upon reaching the place, we’ll explore important sites along with the communities nearby. It will be a day full of exploration. We’ll retrace back to Timure for the night after the sightseeing.

Day 8: Trek from Timure to Briddim(2,230m)| 6hrs

From Timure, we’ll head towards Briddim Village, a must-visit village of the Langtang Region. To do that, we’ll join a trail that goes along the riverbed of the Bhote Koshi River. We’ll follow the river-aligned path until we reach Lingling Village. Right after the rest, we will continue moving forward into the deep forest of Rhododendron. The pleasant walk will lead us to our destination for the day, Briddim Village. Briddhim Village shows the impact of Tibetan culture quite clearly. It will be a lovely evening stay in the village in one of the homestays. And, we’ll call it a day by interacting with the locals, knowing the culture, and eating their food.

Day 9: Trek from Briddim to Syabrubesi(1,460m) | 6hrs

Accommodation: guesthouse in Syabrubesi
Meal: breakfast, lunch, dinner
Max. Altitude: 1460m
We’ll bid farewell to the locals of Briddim to join a retracing trek to Syabrubesi. The walk will be over the same trail of Rhododendron with fewer uphills this time. Along the hike, we will see the stunning peaks of the region once again. It will take us 6 hours to reach Syabrubesi. Overnight in Syabrubesi.

Day 10: Drive back to Kathmandu (6-7 hours)

Transportation: 6-7 hours drive to kathmandu
Accommodation: 3-star standard hotel
We will be back to where it will begin, Syabrubesi. From there, we take a scenic bus/jeep drive to Kathmandu. Sitting at the windows, we will relive the same countryside view of Nepal. After 6-7hrs, we will reach your hotel in Kathmandu. If time allows, you will go for some shopping and hang out around the city. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 11: End of the Trip
