Day 1: Fly to Nepalgunj and Drive to Bardia National Park
After breakfast, we’ll reach the domestic terminal of Kathmandu Airport for a flight to Nepalgunj. The flight’s duration is around 1 hour, and we’ll see the Himalayas, Hills, and plainlands too from our seats. After the landing, we will transfer to Bardia National Park via a jeep from the airport. That will take about 2 hours. We’ll do check-in in a resort to settle ourselves in Bardia. After lunch at the resort, we’ll visit a local village of Tharu for a cultural performance and lifestyle exposure. If time allows, we’ll see the crocodile breeding center of Bardia National Park. After all of these, we’ll return to our resort for the night.
Day 2: Jungle Safari in Bardia National Park
The real jungle adventure begins here. We will take our breakfast in time, and we’ll perform an elephant ride for an hour or so. The ride will allow us to look at the biodiversity of the jungle. We may see animals like monkeys, blackbuck, spotted deer, hog deer, etc. If lucky, we may encounter Royal Bengal Tiger and One-Horned Rhino. Following the elephant ride, we’ll visit the visitor center and go out for some jungle walk to see more animals. It will be an opportunity to click on some real wildlife photos. And then that will be the end of the day’s activities. We’ll return to our resort for the night.
Day 3: Full Day Jungle Activities
On the third day of the Bardia Jungle Safari Tour, we’ll do activities like jeep drive, Tiger tracking, and bird watching. We’ll have good odds of viewing the Royal Bengal Tour today as we will traverse to the major inhabiting place of tigers. The whole of the day will be full of jeep rides. At the end of the activities, we’ll return to the resort for sleep.
Day 4: Half Day Jungle Activities, Drive back to Nepalgunj and Fly Back to Kathmandu
Before anything, we’ll drive to the Karnali River for some more bird watching. We’ll also see the endangered Gangetic dolphins, mugger crocodiles, and gharials in the river. Next, we’ll do a canoe ride in the river to view more birds and animals. In between, we may come across tiger and rhino drinking water from the river. Following the time in the river, we’ll drive back to the resort and have lunch. Then we will move towards Nepalgunj airport for the flight to Kathmandu. The flight will be 1 hour long and we’ll experience similar views as the first day. Upon the landing in Kathmandu, we’ll head back to our hotel in Kathmandu to end the tour formally.
