Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

With the blessings of Buddha, you will safely land at Kathmandu Airport. We will be there at the airport to pick you up with a warm welcome. Then we will head towards your hotel via vehicle for check-in, followed by rest and refreshment. Once you feel comfortable, we will have evening sightseeing around the city. The night’s rest back in the hotel.

Day 2: Visit Boudhanath, Swayambhunath and Pharping

After breakfast brunch, we will set out on the busy roads of Kathmandu. Firstly, we will reach Swayambhunath Temple, the Buddhist temple perched on a hillock right by the hustle and bustle of the city. We will explore this most sacred area before moving towards Boudhanath. Like Swayambhunath, we will have prayers and sightseeing at Boudhanath, the other most holy stupa in Nepal. Following the visits to these two sites, we will attend a drive of 45 minutes towards Pharping, the beautiful town in the outskirts of the valley with several important monasteries and meditation centers. We will visit Neydo Tashi Choling Monastery, Palyul Samten Osel Ling, and Thegchen Leksheyling Retreat Centre in Pharphing before getting back to Kathmandu for the night’s sleep.

Day 3: Excursion around Kapan Monastery and Namo Buddha

Like the other day, we will start to explore the major Buddhist Pilgrimage sites near Kathmandu. Right after breakfast, we will drive towards Kapan Monastery, the monastery famous for Buddhism teachings and guided meditation. Along with exploration, we will have beautiful views of hills and the surrounding area.Following, we will drive towards our next destination for the day, Namo Buddha, which houses Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery atop a hill. It will take us one and half hours to get there. Upon reaching the place, we will perform prayers in this most important site and breathtaking views of hills and mountains. In the evening, after having a full exploration, we will retrace back to Dhulikhel for the night.

Day 4: Fly to Lumbini and Explore

On this day, we will return to Kathmandu to fly to Lumbini. After we land at Bhairahawa’s airport, we will join a cab to reach our hotel in Lumbini. Later in the evening, we will perform a tour around Lumbini Museum, Theravada Monastic Zone, and several other places. Overnight back in the hotel.

Day 5: Visit Maya Devi Temple and Tilaurakot

It will be the most happening day of the entire Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour. Firstly, we will spend a peaceful and insightful time around Maya Devi Temple. The temple named after the mother of Buddha, Maya Devi, is the central temple of the Lumbini Pilgrimage area. We will also find a sacred pool, a sacred garden, and Ashoka Pillar by the temple.Moreover, we will move to other monasteries and stupas made by various countries. Right after that, we will drive towards Tilaurakot, the place where Buddha spent his early 29 years. We will get to see the remains of the ancient palace and other ruins. The time around this site will take us back in time. Following the spiritual time, we will return to the hotel in Lumbini for the night.

Day 6: Fly back to Kathmandu

With so much to recall, we will leave Bhairawa and Lumbini for Kathmandu via a flight. It will take 45 minutes to reach back in the hustles of Kathmandu. Later, we will have some sightseeing around Kathmandu in the evening. Overnight in Kathmandu’s hotel.

Day 7: Departure

On the 7th day of the tour, we will leave you at the airport for your home flight. And this will bring an end to the trip.
