Best Season to trek Everest Gokyo Lake
The best time to do the Everest Gokyo Lake trek or any trekking routes in Nepal like Everest Base Camp, Annapurna Circuit, Annapurna Base Camp, Manaslu, is March to May the pre-monsoon season and late September to November the post-monsoon season. There is less chance of rainfalls and the colorful nature in this season is in full swing at this time.
The month of late November to February is the winter season in Nepal, this time the temperature will drop to freezing which means extreme cold at high altitude and it will be difficult to walk on the wet slippery and icy trail.
The month of late June to early September is Summer and Monsoon season in Nepal, this time the potential flight delays out of Lukla due to the frequent rainfall. Trekking along with the high humid, Frequent downpours and the wet trail is not a good idea though.
During this offseason, the trail will be isolated and it will be impossible to trek due to frequent rainfalls, high humid of monsoon and extreme cold of winter, if you really want to venture and want to dare with the challenging trail wisely prepare yourself with an extra layer of rain covers in Monsoon and for winter uplift some extra pairs of warm clothes and some climbing equipment.
