Itinerary

Day 1: Drive from Kathmandu to Chitwan(815m)

The journey to Chitwan Jungle Safari Tour begins with a 4-5 hour bus ride from Kathmandu. It will be a pleasant journey along the Prithivi Highway, which is lush and twisty. Later we will reach Chitwan, where we will set up in a hotel for a rest after the drive.  We'll go for an evening stroll around the Rapti River's riverbed once our bodies have been refreshed. We will also watch a lovely sunset view from the view tower on the shore of the river. Following that, the local Tharu ethnic people will put on a cultural display, primarily a dance performance, for us. The first day will come to a conclusion at this point, and we will return to the hotel for the night.

Day 2: Activities in Chitwan National Park

After breakfast, we’ll start doing activities on the Chitwan Jungle Safari Tour one by one. Firstly, we’ll start with a canoe ride on a wooden boat on the Rapti River, which goes along the peaceful national park. During the whole process, we’ll see various rare birds and several species of crocodiles.  Next, we’ll return to our hotel for lunch before doing an elephant safari deep in the woods. The Elephant Safari will be the opportunity to observe the enriched flora and fauna of the region. If lucky, we will also see the king of the jungle, the Bengal Tiger. We'll have an elephant bath at the end of the elephant safari, only if you wish. This will be followed by visits to the Elephant and Crocodile Breeding Centers. We’ll return to our hotel for dinner and the night’s sleep.

Day 3: Activities and Drive back to Kathmandu

On the last day of Chitwan Jungle Safari, we will have a morning visit to Beeshazari Lake(20 Thousand Lake), a perfect place for bird watching. We’ll spend some peaceful time by the lake before going back to the hotel for breakfast.  After breakfast, we’ll prepare to leave Chitwan. The following 4-5 hours of a bus drive through the same highway will bring us to Kathmandu. And the Chitwan Jungle Safari Tour will conclude when we return to our hotel in Kathmandu.

After Everest Base Camp Trek, I did tour to Pokhara and Chitwan National Park. I am thankful to Shiva and his Sabbatical Explore Team for managing a great guide for my trek. I knew the trek is beautiful but not entirely. All the prayer flags, busy farm fields, like traditional hamlets, and yes giant peaks, these all are running through my mind while writing this. Thanks for this amazing trek. The guide helped me deal with the challenges of the trek without getting anxious. Thanks to him and the team! I suggest this group of experts to everyone reading my experience. You won't regret joining them. I am not!

Sabbatical Explore Nepal's team planned this excursion, which went excellent and was exceptionally well planned. We had the best guide on this trip who was friendly, humorous, and professional. He made us feel easy throughout the excursion.  He was always there to explain the new things of the journey from the unique hanging bridges to the rapid Dudh Koshi River. The entire team for the journey was great. I can say the trip to Everest Base Camp is a trip for my lifetime. Thanks a lot to the entire team of Sabbatical!

After Bhaktapur, we went to trekking to Kalo and Seto kunda.  It was major with two holy lakes  of Nepal which helps to shows the Himalayan beauty of Ganesh Himal. The one who offers for trekking in Kalo and Seto Kunda got a great opportunity to learn and experience typical Tamang and Gurung culture.

The trek of Kalo and Seto Kunda was with the guide and he had arranged of vehicles from Kathmandu to Syabrubeshi which takes 8 to 9 hours to reach Syabrubeshi.
