Overview

Mt. Kanchenjunga is the third highest mountain in the world. Situated on the border between Nepal and India, it rises 8,586 m/28,169 ft into the deep blue skies.

This region was closed to visitors until 1988 and today still is one of the least visited of the 10 highest peaks in the world. It is available only from the Nepal side, as it's white-capped crown rises high above the world.

This trek requires good physical condition as you will be trekking to elevations of 5,140 m/16,863 ft. This trek can be done as either a tea-house trek or camping. Even though it is a remote area, there are small villages that welcome visitors to their mountain. The area is inhabited by Limbu, Sherpa and Tibetan people.

Walk by deep canyons, roaring mountain streams, majestic waterfalls, dense forests of rhododendron as well as rocky crags where you have stunning views of the high mountains of the Himalayas. Mt. Kanchenjunga will not disappoint you as it happily reveals itself to those brave and adventurous enough to make the journey.

If you are looking for a place less traveled with incredible mountain views as well as an opportunity to meet the mountain people of Nepal, then Kanchenjunga trek is just right for you. I went to Upper Mustang Trek with them, which I can vividly remember even after 2 months now. I found out about this team from one of my friends. I'm glad he suggested it. Everything went well during the trek. The guide was so humble and good. He showed me things that I could never have if I was traveling solo. I feel a deep connection with the landscapes of Mustang. Thanks to the guide and the team. The trip was a great experience!

Katmandu, Bhaktapur Patan, and another locals city I forgot the name ( Themi) are the most interesting cultural cities for sightseeing in Katmandu valley. It's a very very vibrant and tremendous and much rich culture in Nepal. I went to Pokhara and on the way rafting in the river was great fun. 8 days of trekking to Khopra's dada was awesome and amazing with the fabulous horizontal mountain view of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna series. After the trek, I went to Chitwan for 3 days Jungle Safari and back to Kathmandu via a flight.  I am very thankful to my guide and the organizer Sabbatical Explore Nepal for the best trip arrangement even for a short time. As we have discussed at the farewell dinner together I am sure to be back with my other working colleague.
I already miss the beautiful mountains and caring people of Nepal. Specially Shiva my guide Shesh.
Namaste ! and see you asap !!

“I had a lot of fun on this trek. We had a seven days trek to Langtang from Kathmandu. My guide Sabin karki was super awesome. He was motivating, fun, and the perfect companion for the given situation. I am more than happy with the service provided on this trip. They organized the whole trek in a way that allowed me to both acclimatize progressively and enjoy the Langtang valley beauty. I had a blast and had the time of my life. Thank you so much, Sabbatical Explore Nepal, and Sabin karki for making this trip possible :).”
